The Climbing Hangar Southampton is a large indoor bouldering gym offering a vibrant climbing space with hundreds of problems, strength training areas, community events, a café and plenty of social atmosphere. It opened as part of The Climbing Hangar national network of bouldering gyms and has quickly become a major climbing destination in the region. 

🥘 Food & Drink: On-site café serving fresh coffee from Neighbourhood Coffee, snacks, deli favourites and light meals — a social space for climbers and visitors alike. 

🅿️ Parking: Free onsite parking available at the venue on Third Avenue. Bike storage is also provided, with step-free access from parking into the gym. 

Gym / Climbing Wall

 • Indoor bouldering gym with 300+ climbs across a wide range of grades and styles — regularly reset to keep routes fresh for all abilities. 

 • Training towers include elite boards such as Kilter Board, Tension 2 and Moon Board, plus a fully-equipped strength training gym area. 

 • Sessions and community events — including social climbs, training workshops and group sessions — are part of the gym’s calendar. 

 • Bouldering is suitable for ages 7 and up (younger climbers must be supervised by an adult).

 • Punchcard: Multi-visit punchcards (e.g., 10 sessions) available at a reduced rate. 

 • Climbing shoe hire is included with entry; chalk is typically extra (e.g., chalk ~£1.50).
