UL Climbing Wall

The UL Sport Climbing Wall is Ireland’s tallest indoor climbing wall, located at the University of Limerick Sports Arena. It’s a world‑class, Olympic‑standard wall, offering lead, bouldering, speed, and even cave‑training-style climbing. 

🍽 Food & Drink — No dedicated climbing‑wall café listed; the UL Sports Arena campus provides general sport‑campus facilities.

Gym / Climbing

• 120 high-wall routes for lead / top rope.  
• 45 bouldering routes (varied difficulty).  
• 2 auto-belays for independent climbing.  
• 40° MoonBoard for training.  
• IFSC-standard 15m speed wall, with timing system.  
• SRT Ledge (Single Rope Technique) for cave / abseil‑style training.  
• Finger boards / pull-up bars available for training.

Pay-as-you-go / Day Session

• Adult day pass: €10  
• Over 60s / Child day pass: €9  
• UL Student / Staff day pass: €6  

Equipment Rental

• Shoes: €4  
• Harness: €3

• Full kit (shoes + harness + device + chalk): €10  

Courses / Inductions

• Boulder Induction: €16 (adult / child) or €14 for UL staff / students; 30 mins + equipment included.  
• Top-Rope Induction: €35 for 2 hours (learn to tie in, belay, safe climbing).  
• Lead Induction: €45 for first 2‑hour session, €35 for additional.  

Opening Times

• Monday–Friday: 10:00 – 20:00  
• Saturday–Sunday: 10:00 – 18:00
